Neel Shanmugam

Neel Shanmugam is an accomplished technology entrepreneur and engineer with a strong background in artificial intelligence, software development, and commercial operations. As Co-Founder and COO of Cluely since April 2025, Neel focuses on enhancing AI user experiences. Additionally, since November 2024, Neel has been Co-Founder and CTO of Interview Coder, addressing challenges in technical interviews. Neel's previous roles include Prompt Engineer and ML Intern at Rilla, where efforts were directed toward prompt writing and AI system design, and Full Stack Engineer at Columbia Build Lab, where an MVP for a financial data analytics platform was developed. A former Commercial Operations and Sales Intern at SpringWorks Therapeutics, Neel led digital customer engagement initiatives. Neel pursued an undergraduate degree at Columbia University from September 2022 to February 2025, after attending the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science from January 2020 to May 2022.
