Stéphane Lachapelle's work experience begins in 1992 as a System Analyst at Environnement Canada. Stéphane then worked as a UNIX Administrator at BRP and CGI from 1999 to 2002. From 2002 to 2012, Stéphane held various roles at Agropur, including Chief Technology Officer and Senior Technical Advisor. In 2012, they became the Director of Networks and Operations (CTO) at IPEX Management Inc. Stéphane joined Université de Montréal in 2017, first as the Director of Telecommunications and later as the Director of Infrastructure and Operations. Currently, they are working as the Chief Information Officer at CMC Électronique starting from 2023.
Stéphane Lachapelle earned a college diploma in Pure Science from Cégep de Granby in 1988. Stéphane later went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Université de Sherbrooke in 1993.
