Sharon Epperson is a seasoned finance journalist and educator with extensive experience in both media and academia. Since July 1996, Sharon has served as a Senior Personal Finance Correspondent at CNBC, reporting on global commodities markets and personal finance topics, while also contributing to NBC's Today Show and writing for Today.com. Additionally, Sharon has been an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs since September 2000, guiding graduate students in media and communications, personal branding, and personal finance. Prior to CNBC, Sharon worked at Time Magazine from June 1993 to June 1996, covering various topics including business and social issues. Sharon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Government from Harvard University and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia | SIPA, along with honorary doctorates from Carlow University and Mercy University.
