Maria Yiannakou

Maria Yiannakou has extensive experience in financial reporting and management, currently serving as the Head of External Financial Reporting at Co-op since June 2024. Prior to this role, Maria held the position of Head of Group Finance at N Brown Group from August 2019 to May 2024, after which a maternity leave was taken. Maria's earlier career includes a significant tenure at Fircroft as Group Reporting Manager and numerous roles at EY, ranging from Audit Senior Manager to Audit Senior. Maria began their career at CLB Coopers as a Senior. Educationally, Maria is an ACA qualified professional, having completed studies with ICAEW between 2004 and 2007 and obtained a BSc in Business Management & Accounting and Finance from UMIST - University of Manchester from 2001 to 2004. Early education was completed at The English School in Nicosia, Cyprus.
