Amit Prothi is the Director General at the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure since July 2022. Previously, Amit served as a Senior Advisor at the Atlantic Council from July 2021 to June 2022 and as a Global Mentor for the CITIIS Program at the National Institute of Urban Affairs from August 2019 to June 2022. Amit held various leadership roles in organizations such as the Resilient Cities Network as Regional Director for APAC and the 100 Resilient Cities initiative, culminating as Associate Director for City & Practice Management. Amit's career in urban planning spans over two decades, including significant roles at AECOM and the Asian Development Bank. Educationally, Amit is a PhD candidate in Urban Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a Master's degree in Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, along with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi.
