Nirav R. Shah

Nirav R. Shah currently serves as a Senior Scholar at the Clinical Excellence Research Center at Stanford University School of Medicine and holds multiple leadership positions, including Chair of the Policy Workgroup for the Coalition for Health AI, Chief Medical Officer at American Health Associates, and Co-Chair of the Data & Surveillance workgroup at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. With extensive experience in healthcare management, Shah was previously the Chief Medical Officer at Sharecare and Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Clinical Operations at Kaiser Permanente. As Commissioner of the New York State Department of Health, Shah managed a $60 billion budget and oversaw public health insurance programs. Educational qualifications include an AB in Biology from Harvard University, an MD from Yale School of Medicine, an MPH in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from Yale School of Public Health, and completion of the RWJ Clinical Scholars Program at UCLA.
