Joe Lodin

Joe Lodin is a seasoned technical writer and documentation expert with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as Staff Technical Writer at Cockroach Labs since April 2025, Joe previously held significant roles at Starburst from June 2021 to March 2025, including Technical Lead for Information Engineering and Information Engineer, focusing on documentation and content production for the Starburst Enterprise product. Contributions to the Trino open source project were made during the same timeframe. Prior to Starburst, Joe worked at Google as a Technical Writer in Developer Relations, enhancing documentation for the Google Assistant, and managed documentation at Cisco Meraki as a Documentation Manager. Joe's career began as a Technical Support Engineer and a Technical Support Intern at Cisco Meraki, as well as serving as a Lab Technician at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a minor in Networking and System Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology.
