Josh Knowles is an experienced leader in technology and operations, currently serving as the VP of Strategy and Operations at Code Climate since July 2022. Prior to this role, Josh held multiple senior positions at VMware, including VP of Global Application Services and Senior Director of Application Services within Tanzu Labs. During a tenure at Pivotal Software, Inc., from April 2013 to December 2019, Josh bootstrapped a new service offering and contributed significantly to the establishment of the company's European headquarters in London. Josh also served as VP for Pivotal Labs in both EMEA and the East, managing client engagements with major European enterprises. Previous roles include leadership positions in engineering and software development at companies such as Gilt Groupe and weplay, along with early career experience as a developer and coach. Josh earned a degree from Eastern Washington University.
