Code2College
Kathryn Lock is a Software Engineering Intern at Emerson, having previously served as an Embedded Software Engineering Intern within the same company, where contributions included developing UML sequence diagrams for secure communications. Currently involved as a Code2College Program Participant, Kathryn is enhancing Python skills through collaboration on programming projects with industry professionals. With experience as a Small Business Owner at withlovekkate, Kathryn manages day-to-day operations, including social media and product development. A Marketing Intern at Mooch, effective marketing strategies were implemented, alongside revitalizing social media accounts. Additionally, Kathryn has interned as a Leadership Intern at the National Inventors Hall of Fame, facilitating STEM activities for elementary students. Education includes participation in a Summer Immersion Program through Girls Who Code.
Code2College
The mission of Code2College is to dramatically improve the rate of historically underserved students attending, persisting and completing STEM undergraduate degree programs and entering STEM careers. Our service delivery method is to provide a tuition-free, industry-relevant coding education to underserved HS students during the school year in preparation for a project-based, paid internship with a STEM company in the summer.
