Elisa Calimano

Elisa Calimano serves as the Senior Director of Product & Program Management at Codexis, Inc. since May 2021, where leadership of a cross-functional team facilitated the delivery of an enzyme for Paxlovid, significantly enhancing production capacity and generating substantial revenue. Prior to Codexis, Elisa held multiple roles at Zymergen from May 2018 to May 2021, including Director of Product Management, where management of high-priority programs led to the successful launch of the company's first commercial product. Earlier experience at The Clorox Company involved technical leadership in R&D for home care cleaning products, resulting in the launch of innovative products. Elisa holds a Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, a BS in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and further education through the Cambridge-MIT Institute.
