Jonathan Vroom

Jonathan Vroom is a scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology and chemical engineering. Currently employed at Codexis since August 2011, Jonathan previously held a position as a postdoctoral scientist at the Joint BioEnergy Institute, where development of molecular biology tools for Gram-negative bacteria was a key achievement. At Stanford University, from September 2003 to February 2011, Jonathan worked as a graduate research associate in both the Wang Lab and Kao Lab, contributing to significant advancements in cloning mechanisms, mammalian expression systems, mammalian cell proliferation assays, antibiotic production, and genetic analysis in bacteria. Jonathan holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University (2011) and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona (2003).
