Tyler Hurlburt

Tyler Hurlburt serves as a Scientist II in Process Chemistry at Codexis, Inc. since February 2024. Previously, Tyler held the position of Scientist II in Process, Protein, and Analytical Chemistry at Eat Just, Inc. from July 2020 to February 2024, where responsibilities included characterizing mung bean protein and developing methods to correlate protein structure with functionality. Prior to that, Tyler was a Scientist in Process Chemistry at Bolt Threads from October 2018 to June 2020, focusing on sustainable dyeing procedures for Mylo™, a vegan leather alternative. Tyler completed a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2013 to 2018, following a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Whitman College in 2013.
