John Perez has extensive work experience in various roles within the engineering and consulting industry. John began their career as a Process Engineer at Rohm and Haas in 1996. John then worked at Berwanger, Inc. as a Process Safety Consultant from 2000 to 2002, and later as a Business Development Manager from 2002 to 2003. In 2004, they co-founded Celerity3 Engineering, Inc. and served as the President and Co-Owner until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, John was the President of Lloyd's Register Celerity3, Inc. Currently, they are the Owner and Engineer at COGNASCENTS Consulting Group, Inc., where they help clients achieve competitive sustainability through risk management and business excellence solutions.
John Perez has a BS in ChE from Rice University, which they obtained from 1991 to 1996. John then pursued an MBA in MGMT from Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, they hold certifications such as Foreign Licensure in Alberta, Canada from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
