Fahad Khalid

Fahad Khalid has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Fahad is currently working at Cognigy as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for the development of the Cognigy AI runtime.

From 2016 to 2022, Fahad worked at Forschungszentrum Jülich as a Research Scientist and Senior Scientific Software Developer. In this role, they led the Analysis, Visualization, and Learning team at the Simulation and Data Laboratory Neuroscience. Fahad'sresponsibilities included developing and supervising projects related to graph theoretic analysis of neuroscientific data, interactive data visualization, and the application of deep learning to computer vision problems in Neuroimaging.

Prior to that, Fahad worked at the University of Zurich as a Research Scientist in Computational Biology from 2015 to 2016. Fahad'smain project involved developing the Genonets Server, a web server for analysis and visualization of genotype networks.

Fahad also has experience as a Ph.D. Student at Hasso-Plattner-Institute from 2011 to 2015, where their primary research focus was programming models for hybrid CPU-GPU parallel computing.

Before pursuing their Ph.D., Fahad worked as a Software Developer contractor at Ericsson from 2008 to 2011, where they contributed to the development and maintenance of the Service Data Point node in the Ericsson Charging System.

Fahad also has experience as a Software Developer at Itancan Consulting AB, a Software Engineer at Spidexa Technologies AB, and a Software Engineer at Averox. At Averox, they played a key role in the development of a Provisioning and Service Activation system deployed at Telenor Pakistan. Fahad later established the Product Engineering Team at Averox.

Fahad began their career as a Software Developer in the Distributed & Grid Computing Research Group at NUST School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. Fahad collaborated with institutions such as CERN Labs, Centre for Advanced Computing Research, and Stanford Linear Accelerator Centre on network monitoring projects.

Fahad Khalid has a diverse education history. Fahad obtained a Higher Secondary School Certificate in Pre-Engineering (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English) from Cadet College Kohat between 1995 and 2000. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology from 2000 to 2004.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Fahad pursued a Master of Science degree in Intelligent Software Systems from the Blekinge Institute of Technology between 2006 and 2008. Additionally, in 2012, they obtained a certification in International Teaching Professionals from the Potsdam Graduate School, University of Potsdam.

In 2014, Fahad attended the Complex Systems Summer School at the Santa Fe Institute to further their knowledge in the field of Complex Systems Science.
