Mark currently serves as Cohen & Company’s Chief Operating Officer, providing strategic oversight regarding the firm’s most critical infrastructure departments. This includes finance, human resources and information technology, as well as leading a variety of other risk management and operational initiatives.
Prior to serving as COO, Mark spent 30 years in Cohen & Company’s Assurance Practice, where he accumulated experience in a range of industries and audit types — from mutual funds and hedge funds in the investment industry, to a variety of industries related to private companies. With a diverse client base of varying complexities and issues related to valuation, Mark also served as a consultant to investment advisers on business issues throughout the private enterprise lifecycle and advised on the Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) Custody Rule.
