Sylvie Shi

Sylvie Shi began their work experience as a Quantitative Investment Intern at OPTrust in January 2019, where they worked until April 2019. In September 2019, they joined Purpose Investments as a Quantitative Analyst and stayed until January 2020. From January 2020 to October 2020, they worked at TD as a Data Scientist I. Currently, they are employed at Cohere as a Machine Learning Engineer, starting in September 2021.

Sylvie Shi has a strong educational background in the field of mathematics, statistics, and computing. Sylvie completed an Honoured Bachelor of Science with High Distinction at the University of Toronto, majoring in Applied Mathematics and minoring in Statistics. Furthermore, they pursued a Master of Science degree at the same university, specializing in Mathematical Finance.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Sylvie also obtained a Master of Science degree with Distinction at Imperial College London. Sylvie'sfocus during this program was Computing, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

Aside from their degrees, Sylvie also holds the certification of CFA Level II, which they obtained from the CFA Institute in August 2019.
