Al Smith

Al Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations and service management within the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Operations for the Semiconductor Test Group at Cohu, Inc. since May 2012, Al continues to oversee worldwide management of repair centers. Prior to this role, a significant tenure at LTX-Credence included positions as Director of Operations, where responsibilities included managing contract manufacturers and enhancing manufacturing processes, and Director of Test Engineering, focusing on test philosophy and quality standards. Al also has a record of service at Xcerra Corporation as Sr. Director of Service Operations. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Lesley University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the New England Institute of Technology, and a Certificate in Supply Chain Management from the University of San Francisco.
