Jeffrey Lyon currently serves as the Head of Infrastructure Security at Coinbase, overseeing teams focused on Cloud Security, Vulnerability Management, and OS/Runtime Security since December 2023. Previously, Jeffrey held the position of Sr. Director of Security Engineering at Robinhood from October 2021 to September 2023, where significant contributions included leading incident response during a data breach and implementing a DevSecOps transformation. Prior to Robinhood, Jeffrey was Head of Engineering for Perimeter Security at Amazon Web Services from November 2014 to October 2021, where key achievements included launching AWS Shield Advanced and establishing dedicated response teams for security threats. Jeffrey's career began in the US Navy, where the service as a Petty Officer First Class was recognized with the Afghanistan Campaign Medal. Currently pursuing an MBA in Accounting from American Military University, Jeffrey also holds a BBA in Operations and Information Systems from William & Mary.
