Colby College
Gustavo Burkett serves as the Dean of the College at Colby College since July 2023, bringing extensive experience in higher education administration. Prior roles include Senior Associate Dean of Diversity and Community Involvement at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from June 2017 to July 2023 and Director of the Office of Student Involvement at Boston College from August 2012 to June 2017. Earlier positions also include Associate Director of Student Activities for Programming at UNC Charlotte and Director of Campus Activities and Student Engagement at the University of Maine. Gustavo Burkett started career work as a Regional Director for Sigma Phi Epsilon and has a solid educational background with ongoing doctoral studies in Higher Education Administration at UMass Boston, along with a Master of Education and Bachelor's degree from the University of Maine.
