Mojdeh Shakiba

Postdoctoral Fellow at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory

Mojdeh Shakiba is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, focusing on the interaction between tumor-associated fibroblasts and immune cells in David Tuveson’s lab since June 2021. Previously, as a Graduate Student in Andrea Schietinger’s lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2014 to May 2021, Mojdeh studied the differentiation of tumor-specific CD8 T cells in solid tumors, particularly exploring neo-antigen affinity and employing CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing for in vivo screening. Educational qualifications include a PhD from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, an MSc in Medical Biophysics, and a B.A.Sc in Engineering Science with a major in Biomedical Engineering, all obtained from the University of Toronto. Additional experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Quantitative Biology and holding the position of Director of Events for the Nspire Innovation Network during the National Business and Technology Conference 2012.
