RK Narayanan PhD MBA CLP serves as the Senior Director of Business Development and Technology Transfer at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory since September 2017, leading strategic partnerships and biopharma collaborations to enhance innovation and drive revenue growth. Prior to this role, RK was the Director of Technology Transfer (Operations and Compliance) at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, achieving significant advancements in negotiating long-term deals and managing a portfolio of more than 25 technologies. RK also has notable experience as a Technology Manager at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where management of intellectual property in life sciences was key to overseeing over 200 innovations. Previous positions include an internship at Mass General Brigham Innovation focusing on intellectual property and business development and research roles at Harvard Medical School and MIT, where RK conducted significant studies in tumor research and neurodegeneration. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
