Brian Serra has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Brian began their career in 2007 as a Technical Recruiter at Apex Systems, where they were responsible for recruitment activities and conducting interviews. In 2010, they founded and operated MagicBasketballOnline.com, a sports media website. From 2008 to 2020, Brian held various roles at the U.S. Army Contracting Command - Orlando, including Branch Chief, Contracting Officer, and Agreements Officer. Brian played a key role in leading the Synthetic Training Environment Cross Functional Team and co-created the Training and Readiness Accelerator. In 2020, Brian joined Defense Acquisition University as a Senior Subject Matter Expert in OTAs. Recently, they moved to Cole Engineering Services, Inc., where they currently serve as the Vice President of Acquisition Initiatives & Engagement.

Brian Serra completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Florida State University - College of Business between the years 2016 and 2019. Prior to that, they attended the UCF College of Business from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a B.S.B.A degree in Marketing and Sport Business Management. In addition to their formal education, Brian has also achieved certifications such as the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance in July 2018. As for their certifications as a Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) and a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), it is unclear when and from which institution they obtained them.
