Nalla Mbaye serves as the Director of the Laboratory of Phytochemistry and Plant Protection at Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD) since November 1999 and has been an educator and researcher at UCAD since 2010. Nalla is responsible for the professional degree program in plant agroresources and entrepreneurship and specializes in biopesticide production, including essential oils and plant extracts. Additionally, Nalla has been an expert trainer with COLEAD.link since June 2009, focusing on crop protection, safe pesticide use, hygiene, and traceability. Nalla is also involved in scientific writing training, mentorship, and leadership with the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development organization since 2018. Nalla holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in phytopathology from UCAD.
