Matthew Howell is an experienced professional in the beverage industry, currently serving as Vice President of Operations at Collective Arts since June 2016, where responsibilities include roles such as Head Distiller and Cider Maker. As President of Saint Howell Tastings since January 2006, Matthew shares a passion for Scotch whisky and has expanded into beer and other spirits. Previous positions include Packaging and Quality Manager at Arts and Science Brewery, Quality and Packaging Manager at Nickel Brook Brewery, and Lecturer at Niagara College, where Matthew educated future brewers. Early career roles included positions at Brick Brewing Co., the University of Guelph Laboratory Services Division, and The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Matthew holds an MSc in Brewing and Distilling from Heriot-Watt University and a BSc in Microbiology from the University of Guelph.
