Louis Johnston is a distinguished academic in the field of economics, currently serving as the William E. and Virginia Clemens Professor of Economics and the Liberal Arts, and Professor of Economics at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University since 1997. Prior to this, Louis Johnston held the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at Gustavus Adolphus College from September 1993 to May 1997, and served as Assistant Professor of Economics at Bowdoin College from August 1990 to July 1993. Louis Johnston earned a Ph.D. and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed a Bachelor of Science degree along with two years in the doctoral program in Economics at the University of Minnesota. Early education was completed at Minnetonka High School.
