Collegiate Academies
Leonardo Bates is an experienced educator with a career spanning several years in teaching science and biology. At Collegiate Academies, since August 2020, Leonardo has been responsible for producing and implementing weekly and semester lesson plans while fostering a safe and productive learning environment. Previously, at KIPP from August 2017 to May 2018, and at Success Preparatory Academy from August 2014 to May 2016, Leonardo executed similar responsibilities in science education. Prior to teaching, Leonardo worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts and briefly pursued a career as a professional football player with the Canadian Olympic Athletes. Leonardo earned a degree in applied sciences with a focus on general studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette between 2008 and 2012.
