Kate Porfilio

Kate Porfilio serves as a Learning and Development Specialist at Collins Engineers, Inc. since July 2025, following nearly a decade of experience in education. Previously, Kate was an Academic Instructional Coach at Jefferson County Public Schools, where responsibilities included designing professional development, mentoring new teachers, and analyzing assessment data. Additional roles at Jefferson County included serving as a VILS Coach and teaching 6th and 7th grade English Language Arts. Kate has also led the Summer Institute for Teach Kentucky, mentoring incoming English teachers and overseeing program development. Academic credentials include an EdS in Educational Leadership and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Louisville, as well as a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from DePauw University.
