Chinthaka Weerasinghe is a seasoned professional in information security with over two decades of experience, primarily at the Colombo Stock Exchange since October 2012, where Chinthaka currently serves as Manager of Information Security. Responsibilities include analyzing cyber security threats, managing 24X7 SOC operations, and overseeing various cyber security projects. Previously, Chinthaka held roles as Assistant Manager and Senior Engineer, focusing on cyber security incidents, SIEM implementations, and security management controls. Chinthaka's earlier experience includes the position of Assistant Engineer at Sri Lanka Telecom, with accomplishments in IPSEC VPN implementation and antivirus solutions for a large user base. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Information Technology specializing in Cyber Security from SLIIT and multiple certifications, including CISSP and MBCS.

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) operates the only stock market in Sri Lanka and is responsible for providing a transparent and regulated environment where companies and investors can come together. CSE is a company that is limited by guarantee. It is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and is a mutual exchange consisting of 15 Members and 16 Trading Members. All Members and Trading Members are licensed by the SEC to operate as Stockbrokers. The CSE has its Head Office in the World Trade Centre, Colombo 1 and branches in Matara, Kandy, Kurunegala, Negombo, Jaffna, Anuradhapura, Ratnapura and Ambalantota.
