Dr. Sumita Furlong's work experience includes serving as the Director of IDEA (Inclusion Diversity Equity and Accountability) at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation since 2023. Prior to that, they were a Special Advisor for Diversity, Inclusion, and Strategic Initiatives to the Vice Chancellor at UC Irvine from 2017 to 2022. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as the Chief Diversity & Global Pluralism Program Officer at the Great Lakes Colleges Association (GLCA).
