Mia Nagawiecki

VP, Education Strategy & Civic Engagement at Colonial Williamsburg Foundation

Mia Nagawiecki currently serves as The Royce R. and Kathryn M. Baker Vice President for Education Strategy and Civic Engagement at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation since September 2022. In addition, Mia is a Board Member at the National Council for History Education from February 2021 and previously held multiple leadership roles at the Center for Civic Education, including Vice President & Chief Operating Officer and Vice President & Chief of Staff. From June 2008 to July 2021, Mia worked at the New-York Historical Society, advancing through various educational positions to ultimately become Vice President for Education. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in American Studies from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in History from Barnard College. Earlier experience includes roles at the Children's Museum of Manhattan and as an Adjunct Professor in Museum Studies at The City University of New York.
