Bert Rivero has a strong background in IT infrastructure and operations. Bert currently holds the position of Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations at Colony Hardware since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President and Director of IT at Bankwell from 2019 to 2022, where they were responsible for overseeing all phases of IT and security projects. Before joining Bankwell, they served as a Director of Server Infrastructure at Cotiviti from 2010 to 2019, where they managed a global team supporting thousands of servers. Additionally, they have experience as a Network Engineer at Nextwave Broadband in 2007 and Mobius Management Systems from 1998 to 2007.

In 2019-2020, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in IT Management at Western Governors University. In 2014, they obtained the ITIL® Intermediate Certificate in Operational Support and Analysis from Pink Elephant. In 2013, they earned the ITIL® Foundation v3 Certificate in IT Service Management from the same institution. In 2012-2013, Bert completed the Leadership Development Program at Dale Carnegie Training. Additionally, in 2012, they attended the "Presenting with Impact" program at the same institution.
