Colorado Coalition for the Homeless
Carol Rykiel, BSRDH, CDA, MS, currently serves as the RDH Manager of Integrated Dental Services at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless since November 2014. In addition, Carol has been a Registered Dental Hygienist at Daren Carlile, DMD since June 2007, providing various dental hygiene services, including laser tissue therapy and periodontal therapy. Previously, Carol held roles as Adjunct Faculty and Dental Program Chair at Westwood College, where responsibilities included delivering dental assisting curriculum and managing adjunct instructors. Carol began career in clinical dental hygiene at Pine Grove Dental Arts from April 1996 to October 2006. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Management from Colorado State University Global and a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.

The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for families and individuals experiencing or at-risk of homelessness throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves. Since its founding more than 30 years ago, the organization has earned state and national recognition for its integrated healthcare, housing, and service programs. The Coalition’s comprehensive approach addresses the causes of homelessness, as well as the consequences, offering critical assistance to over 18,000 individuals and families each year. Positions at the Coalition span more than 50 programs and offer a variety of employment opportunities in a trauma-informed environment. We value staff development and training, within a culturally diverse workforce, that promotes innovative thinking and creative approaches to out work.
