Derrell S.

Derrell S. currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Community Standards and Student Support at Colorado College, a position held since August 2022, previously serving as the Assistant Director and Community Standards & Care Manager. Derrell’s experience includes the role of Veteran and Military Affairs Student Success Coordinator at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, as well as various managerial positions at Target and Brigham Young University, where Derrell was an Assistant Professor of Military Science. In military service, Derrell held leadership roles, including Forward Support Company Commander and Logistics/Budget Manager, overseeing personnel training, logistics support, budget management, and operational planning across multiple battalions. Derrell earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with Teacher Certification from the University of North Georgia in 2012.
