AMGA Assistant Alpine Guide at Colorado Mountain School

Carsten Schnatwinkel has extensive experience in oncology and immuno-oncology within the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as a Senior Oncology Medical Science Liaison at AstraZeneca since December 2018. Prior roles include Medical Science Liaison at Ipsen and Scientist III - Program Manager at Flagship Biosciences, where Carsten managed cross-functional teams and contributed to advancing biomarker and diagnostics development. With a strong background in research, Carsten has held academic positions as a Research Associate at the University of Colorado Boulder and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at both the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and the Max-Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics. Carsten holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology from the Max-Planck Institute and a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Biophysical Chemistry from Medizinische Hochschule Hannover. Additionally, Carsten has engaged in teaching as an MCAT Teacher.
