Darian Abernathy

Darian Abernathy possesses a diverse range of experience in higher education, currently serving at Colorado State University since August 2021 in multiple roles including Academic Success Coordinator for Exploratory Studies, Career Education Specialist at the Career Center, and Supplemental Support for the Black/African American Cultural Center. Prior to this, experience includes an internship with the Lookout Scholars Program and leadership as Chair of the Carolina Union Board of Directors at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from August 2019 to June 2021. Additional experience involves serving as a Professional Development Coordinator in the Office of Student Life and Leadership, focusing on assessment and co-curricular development efforts. Darian Abernathy holds a Master of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Studies with minors in Education and Latinx Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
