David Prawel

Co-director - Biomaterials Research & Engineering Laboratory at Colorado State University

David Prawel is an accomplished professional in the fields of biomedical engineering and 3D technology. Currently serving as Co-Director of the Biomaterials Research & Engineering Laboratory at Colorado State University since October 2007, Prawel's research focuses on developing biomimetic scaffolds and endoprosthetic devices aimed at enhancing bone healing, particularly in critical-sized defects caused by cancer and trauma. Additionally, Prawel is the Founder and Director of the Idea-2-Product 3D Printing Laboratory at CSU, where innovative solutions in 3D technology are cultivated. As the Founder and President of Longview Advisors Inc. since January 2001, Prawel provides consulting services on product development and commercialization. Prawel also founded the 3D Collaboration & Interoperability Congress, which promotes CAD-agnostic digital methods for advancing Model-Based Enterprises. Prior experience includes co-founding Skybeam Wireless and serving as Vice President of Business Development at Spatial Technology, along with a strong academic background that includes dual PhDs in Biomedical Engineering from Colorado State University.
