Jaime L. Jacobsen

Jaime L. Jacobsen serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism & Media Communication at Colorado State University since August 2019, teaching various courses including Documentary Production and Strategic Writing & Communication. Prior to this role, Jaime worked as a Producer at MontanaPBS from 2006 to 2019, creating award-winning documentaries such as "The Last Artifact" and "Finding Traction." Additional academic experience includes serving as a Faculty Fellow at Montana State University-Bozeman and as an Assistant Professor at Notre Dame University - Louaize. Jaime's expertise also extends to directing documentary projects for National Geographic Student Expeditions. Currently pursuing a PhD in American Studies at Montana State University-Bozeman, Jaime holds an MFA in Science & Natural History Filmmaking and a BS in Art and Environmental Studies, along with international educational experiences at institutions in Chile and Ecuador.
