Karishma Sookraj

Karishma Sookraj is an experienced clinical research professional currently serving as the Lead Clinical Research Associate for the Children’s Oncology Group at Columbia University Irving Medical Center since December 2020. In this role, Karishma ensures compliance with trial protocols and regulatory standards, manages institutional data queries, and oversees institutional member rosters. Karishma has previously held positions as a Clinical Research Coordinator I, leading Phase I/II clinical trials focused on high-risk pediatric cancers, and as a Clinical Research Coordinator, coordinating early drug development trials. Early in the career, Karishma worked as a Program Outreach Assistant on HIV and COVID-19 studies and completed a practicum with the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children, gaining insights into global health challenges. Karishma holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Adelphi University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from CUNY York College.
