Heather Hubbard, RHIA, CRCR has a strong and diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Heather started their career at Columbus Regional Health in Columbus, Indiana in 1999 as a Second Shift Team Leader. Heather later worked as a PRN Coder from 2003 to 2004.

In 2001, Heather joined Johnson Memorial Hospital as a Supervisor Medical Information, and later became the Director Medical Information/Privacy Officer from 2004 to 2010.

Returning to Columbus Regional Health in 2010, Heather took up the role of Director Health Information & Privacy Officer until 2016, when they became the Director-System Health Information. Heather continued in this role until 2022, when they briefly served as the Director-System Health Information Management & Coding. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Revenue Cycle, where they are responsible for setting the strategic vision for system-wide Revenue Cycle activities.

Throughout their career, Heather has demonstrated expertise in Patient Access and Financial Clearance, Enterprise Billing, Hospital and Professional Coding, Clinical Documentation Improvement, Health Information Management, and Privacy Services. With their experience and leadership skills, they have played a vital role in integrating and standardizing these functions within the healthcare organizations they have worked for.

Heather Hubbard, RHIA, CRCR attended the University of Cincinnati and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Information/Medical Records Administration/Administrator in 2010. Prior to that, they had attended Vincennes University and earned an Associate of Science in Health Information Management in 1999. In addition, they have obtained multiple certifications including Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) from AHIMA in December 2010 and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in May 2021.
