Paul Boone has significant work experience in the technology industry, spanning over several companies and roles. Paul began their career as a Software Designer at Newbridge Networks from September 1996 to December 1997. Paul then joined Alcatel-Lucent (Newbridge Networks) as a Software Designer from January 1998 to October 2000. In 2006, they worked as a Research Intern at Alcatel-Lucent for six months. Paul Boone's most recent position was as a Research and Development Lead at Netagen since January 2010. In this role, they led the development of various projects related to billing, network-as-a-service (NaaS), wireless ad-hoc networking, IoT, mobile, SIP-based applications, and systems monitoring. Paul also worked on SR&ED and IRAP projects. Their responsibilities included building applications to manage large customers' subscriptions for carrier services.
Paul Boone has a strong educational background in computer science. Paul obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (TUNS) - Dalhousie University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Carleton University, completing the program from 2002 to 2004. Their educational journey continued at Carleton University, where they obtained their PhD in Computer Science, specializing in Networks and Wireless, from 2004 to 2009.
