Russell Gram has over 20 years of work experience in various sales and engineering roles within the technology industry. Their most recent role was as a Sales Director at Netagen since 2012, where they managed the Central Region Sales Team and drove sales of UC, voice, data, and security solutions. Prior to that, they were a Sales Specialist - Unified Communications at Allstream in 2010.
From 2000 to 2009, Russell worked at Nortel Networks as a Senior Sales Engineer, where they were responsible for developing and designing communications solutions using Nortel solutions such as routers, switches, PBX systems, and optical networking equipment. Russell also conducted technical seminars for partners and customers and was a Subject Matter Expert for Unified Communications and Collaboration.
Before Nortel Networks, Russell worked at Comdisco as a Sales Engineer - Managed Network Services, where they consulted with customers to determine services that met their business needs. Russell also worked as a Network Product Specialist at Arqana Technologies Inc in 1999 and as a Sales Engineer at Qnetix Inc from 1997 to 1999.
Russell's early career includes a role as a Channel Sales Manager at PSINet Limited from 1996 to 1997, where they focused on new business development and relationship management of VAR and Wholesale channels. Russell also worked as a Project Engineer at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks from 1991 to 1996, where they managed waste diversion and remediation projects.
Russell Gram completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree at McMaster University from 1985 to 1990. Additionally, they obtained various certifications in sales and networking from institutions such as Avaya and Cisco Systems, including Avaya Professional Sales Specialist certifications in Contact Centre, Small and Mid-Enterprise, Avaya Networking, and Unified Communications, as well as Cisco Sales Essentials certification. These certifications were obtained in different months of 2013.
