Alexandre (Alexis) de Chambrier is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in plasma technology and semiconductor manufacturing. Currently serving as the Director of Plasma Lab at COMET AG since August 2011, Alexandre has pioneered methodologies achieving rapid steady state RF plasma voltage and developed non-intrusive diagnostics for plasma chambers. Past roles include consultant work in banking software, Staff Scientist at Novellus Systems focusing on chamber matching and electrostatic chuck redesign, Manager at WJ Communications overseeing a technical team for tool support and process engineering, and Principal Scientist in independent research on atmospheric microwave plasma. Early career experience includes significant contributions as a Scientist at Watkins Johnson and as an Engineer in the start-up Plasma and Materials Technologies, which later became Trikon Technologies Inc. Alexandre holds a PhD in physics from EPFL, earned between 1981 and 1998.
