Meisam Sistaninia, PhD, PEng, is a Technology Specialist at Comet Group since May 2022, focusing on advancements in X-Ray technologies and developing a digital twin X-Ray for monitoring tube dose rates using machine learning techniques. Prior to this role, Meisam worked at Ansaldo Energia Switzerland Ltd as a Mechanical Integrity and Project Engineer, where responsibilities included developing monitoring code for a Digital Twin GT and participating in technology processes for gas turbine components. Experience at Alstom Power involved mechanical integrity analysis and developing a lifetime monitoring program for gas turbine digitalization. Meisam also served as a Senior Researcher at Paul Scherrer Institute, conducting research on thermal fatigue in nuclear power plants, and previously as a Junior Researcher at EPFL, developing tools related to casting crack formation. Early career experience includes R&D and project management roles at Sfco Factory. Meisam holds a PhD in Materials Science from EPFL, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and a Bachelor’s in Heat and Fluid from Daneshgahe Shahid Bahonar-e-Kerman.
