Fuqua has a Bachelor's Degree in History from Virginia Tech and a Master's Degree in Natural Resources, also from Virginia Tech. From March 2001 to April 2017, Fuqua worked at Craver, Mathews, Smith & Company as the Vice President Creative Services. Since May 2017, Fuqua has been with Common Cause, first as the Director of Membership and Development Planning, and currently as the Associate Vice President For Development.
