John H.N. Fisher co-founded Draper Fisher Jurvetson with Tim Draper and Steve Jurvetson. Prior to DFJ, Mr. Fisher worked at ABS Ventures, where he focused on enterprise software and services. Earlier, he gained further industry experience at Alex, Brown & Sons and Bank of America. He is a partner on the Growth Team and is currently a board member of and investor in SolarCity, CafeMedia, Pulsepoint, and Renovate America. Mr. Fisher received an A.B. from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
His previous investments include Good Technology (Blackberry); SafeView (L3); Wit Capital, which went public and later merged with SoundView (Schwab); Selectica, which went public and later became Determine; Webline (Cisco); Rightpoint (Epiphany); Software Quality Automation, which went public and was acquired by Rational (IBM); and Medior (AOL). On behalf of various DFJ funds, Mr. Fisher sourced the firm’s investments in Baidu, Hotmail (Microsoft), United Online, and Combinet (Cisco). He serves as a trustee of the California Academy of Sciences.
