Robbie Torney

Robbie Torney currently serves as Chief of Staff at Common Sense Media and Chair of the Board of Directors at Lighthouse Community Public Schools, where previously held roles included Chief of Staff, Principal, Assistant Principal, and School Designer, notably founding Lodestar, a K-12 school in East Oakland, CA. Experience includes participation in the New Leaders Aspiring Principal Residency and offerings as GO Senior Policy Fellow and Educate 78 Teacher Advisory Group Lead. Robbie Torney began a teaching career as a Kindergarten Teacher and K/1 Teacher, and earned a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Theory from Stanford University, where recognition included Phi Beta Kappa honors.
