Mariya Ohulchanska

Mariya Ohulchanska is an experienced social worker with a strong focus on immigrant and refugee services. Currently serving as Assistant Director at Commonpoint Queens since May 2023, Mariya previously held roles at UnLocal, Inc. as a member of the Immigrant Wellness Team, and at LitWorld, where responsibilities included program coordination and partnership development. Prior experience includes working as a School Success Coach with the International Rescue Committee, assisting newly arrived refugee families with school enrollment, and serving as an English instructor across various organizations, including VIPKID and CHUNGDAHM Learning. Mariya's educational background includes a Master of Social Work from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from the University at Buffalo, emphasizing global social work and practices pertaining to immigrants and refugees.
