Alex Creely

Alex Creely currently serves as Chief Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, where responsibilities include overseeing the conceptual design of the ARC Fusion Power Plant. Previous roles at Commonwealth include Director of Tokamak Operations, Head of Tokamak Operations, Head of Physics-Engineering Integration, and Deputy Head of Physics. Prior to Commonwealth, Alex was a PhD candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specializing in Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy, and held research assistant positions at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics and the National Institute for Fusion Sciences. Alex’s educational background includes a PhD from MIT and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University, along with a study abroad program at the University of Oxford.
