Darren Woulfe

Darren Woulfe is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Magnet Business at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since February 2021. Previously, Darren held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Makani, where innovative energy kites were developed to harness wind energy. At X, the moonshot factory, Darren held multiple roles including Head of Finance and Supply Chain Program Manager for Makani. Other notable positions include Associate Vice President of Procurement at Sungevity, Director of Procurement at Recurrent Energy, and a summer role at the U.S. Department of Energy’s ARPA-E. Darren began a career at Intel as a Senior Process Engineer after achieving a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
