John Preston has been working in the software engineering field since 2009. John began their career as a Junior Infrastructure Test Analyst for the Environment Agency. In 2014, they took a role as a Research Intern at the University of Southampton, where they worked with a team to develop solutions to the MediaEval 2014 Benchmarking Initiative, which won in four categories. In 2016, they moved to Soap Media as a Web Developer, then in 2017 they joined Residently as a Software Engineer. In 2019, they began working as a Software Engineer for Commsor, and also became an Indie Maker.
John Preston attended the University of Southampton from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
